Regarding some destinations of the country, we wish to inform you that the operations in the airports of Puno (International Airport Inca Manco Capac) and Arequipa (Airport Alfredo Rodriguez Ballon) remain suspended for precaution. In the rest of the airports nationwide, operations have been running normally. Nevertheless, only passengers with scheduled flights can enter the airport terminals throughout the country, with the exception of people that required special assistance and/or minors.

Also, to protect the world heritage of Machu Picchu, but, especially, to safeguard the integrity of the tourists, staff of the sanctuary, and population in general, it’s been disposed of the closing of Machupicchu from January 21 until further notice. According to the statement released by the Decentralized Directorate of Culture of Cusco, the measure also includes the Inca Trails. It’s important to mention that national and foreign tourists affected may use their tickets up to a month after peace is restored, or request a refund of the amount of their ticket.
