Statement: Situation of Peru

The government of Peru is duly active to take care of and guide national and international tourists in the different regions of its territory. We are seeking dialogue to prevail as the best form of communication with all citizens.

Tourist attractions are open to visitors. However, in the case of those located in the southern and southeastern regions of the country, traffic could be interrupted on some roads conditioning accessibility. We recommend you get updated information before your trip to Peru by texting IPeru’s WhatsApp: +51 944492314.

The main tourist attractions in the north and east zones of Peru, as well as the circuit of northern beaches, are fully open. Ica region’s tourist attractions and national reserves are opened on a regular basis.

From Wednesday, February 15, the reopening of the Sanctuary of Machupicchu was arranged, under the same conditions, schedules and circuits established prior to closing. The Head of Machupicchu National Archaeological Park has been requested to adopt the pertinent measures for the attention of visitors.

It is also important to mention that the Inca Trail has reopened for national and foreign tourists.
