Seafood Products
Our fishing tradition dates back to the beginnings of the Peruvian culture, more than five thousand years ago. Since then, seafood has been a fundamental part of Peru’s customary diet that is not sustained only on the quantity of the available resources, but mainly on quality and variety. Thanks to its favourable climatic conditions, the Peruvian ocean is highly productive. It has a great variety of hydro-biological resources that are approved for a modern and fruitful fishing industry. Among the most notable species are anchovy,giant squid, shrimps, mahi – mahi, scallops, mackerel, and tuna to name just a few.
Now that the world is taking notice of the huge nutritional potential of seafood products, Peru positions itself in the spotlight due to its value-goal: a fishing culture, business experience and upmarket resources that are processed following the strictest sanitary controls. Adding up to that, are the
organoleptic features of the products, an advantage that is starting to be appreciated by the main international markets.
Our purpose is to let importers and potential buyers of seafood products to get acquainted with the Peruvian seafood exportable offer in fresh; frozen; canned; cooked; breaded etc. In order to bring closer the Dutch market and in an extent the Benelux area with the exporters, we successfully participate every year at the world’s largest seafood fair, Seafood Expo Global, where we feature matchmaking session, focused in the buyer’s inquiries and current need, and bring them in contact with the right Peruvian exporters by ensure the smoothness of the process to avoid any hassles.

ANCHOVY
Peru is one of the world’s bigger supplier of anchovy specifically of frozen and canned, originated from the Piura region. Available in frozen or canned form for the Dutch market. Frozen: fillet skin on, interleaved or IQF; whole round / HG / HGT, blocks or IQF; Surimi-based. Canned: fillet in vegetable oil or olive oil; dressed smoked or not,in brine, tomato sauce or special sauces; grated in vegetable oil or brine.
TUNA
Rich in protein, tuna stands out for its high content of omega 3 and high value of vitamin A & D. The exportation of the product in the Netherlands mainly comes from Tumbes and the whole Peruvian coast in general. Tuna is available for export as canned fillet in vegetable oil, sunflower oil, olive oil or brine; Chunk / flakes in vegetable oil, sunflower oil or brine; Loins in olive oil, olive oil with piquillo pepper.
JACK MACKEREL
One of the so-called blue fish, due to its rich content in omega-3 fatty acids, which help prevent cardiovascular diseases. Originated from Tumbes and Tanca, Peruvian Jack Mackerel is available as frozen in HG / HGT, whole or round, fillets skinless or boneless as well as canned fillets, skinless, boneless, in vegetable oil, olive oil, sunflower oil or special sauces.
MAHI-MAHI
Protein-rich food with omega-3 fatty acids like EPA and DHA; vitamins A and D. From Tumbes to Tanca, Mahi-mahi inhabits along the whole Peruvian coast and its available for importing in frozen form: Skin-on or skinless fillets, with bone or boneless, in block, IWP, IVP, IQF, as well as in portions and loins.
TROUT
Trout, a fish in the salmonids family, is the perfect diet food due to its low calories. Available in frozen or canned form for the Dutch market. Frozen: fillet skinless or boneless; IQF; butterfly cut, head on; whole; cold-smoked or hot-smoked fillet. Canned: fillet, medallions or grated in vegetable oil in brine.
SQUIDS
The most common squid species in Peru are Loligo Squids and Giant Squids. Both are exported to the Dutch market frozen. Loligo, high in protein,iron and potassium, is available in IQF rings, clean tubes, skinless, wingless, stuffed tubes and whole. Giant squid are available pre-cooked or dried fillet, IQF rings, breaded, steak, strips, cubes, minced and surimi-based.
SCALLOPS
Farmed in the Piura and Tacna areas, scallops stand out for their high protein and amino acid content. The product is exported frozen in forms like roe on, roe off, half shell and roe on scallop in special sauces.
SHRIMPS
High in protein, B3, B9 and B12, Peruvian shrimps from Tumbes arrive to Europe frozen, whole or headless, shell on or off, raw or cooked, peeled, and butterfly cut.
